Walk is my Word of the Year, and I’ve joined countless other bloggers who chose to be intentional with the elusive New Year’s Resolutions by choosing a word on which to focus.
I continue to be very intentional with my daily walks and strive for at least 10,000 steps a day.
“Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time.” ~ Steven Wright
Aside from the physical aspects of walking, I was reminded that my faith allows me to walk with God. Even when I fail to do so, He is always with me, in good times and in bad.
If our recent 31-day road trip taught me anything, I learned that things really do happen for a reason, and all the anticipation and planning in the world can’t replace God’s perfect timing. As you read last week, we were gently placed right where we needed to be to comfort not only my best friend in the loss of her mother but to also comfort, advise and grieve with our grown children when they needed their parents.
Often, people ask why God allows sadness and tragedy to befall us… remember, we live in a fallen world. Bad things happen.
God does not orchestrate tragedy, rather, He walks alongside us when we experience it.

Thank you to Donna, Debbie, Sue, and Jo for continuing to host the monthly WOTY catchup posts in 2022. I had a bit of catching up as I missed posting updates in May and June due to travel and family get-togethers.
