Welcome to Flower Hour #7! I’m excited about November’s Flower Hour posts, as they continue to feature shadows for Becky B’s November Shadows photo challenge.
This week, I’m sharing my various hydrangea plants I’ve killed enjoyed over the years. I noticed that I had several views of them during each season.
There are no specific themes for the Flower Hour; just use your own photography.

They’re just as pretty as when colorful and fit perfectly with the brown theme – you did a double-dose of brown this week too!

Hydrangeas are so beautiful (even the brown ones 😊). We used to see more of them planted in this area but I hardly see them anymore. I guess they took too much water.

Look at your hydrangeas! The purple one is gorgeous with the sunset! I have a few at our Pennsylvania house. They make me happy.

Thank you, Nancy! I always have fun photographing flowers. Once I determine how well mine grows in the raised bed, I’ll plant two more. I do have a small faux bouquet of them in the house 😁

I’ve had several over the years, but they weren’t that happy in my yard, so I finally pulled out the last one. But I miss them and may have to try again.

I don’t think they like the acidic soil around pine trees. I had that issue in Sacramento where I planted some redwood trees. I kept the hydrangeas in pots which helped. They also like sun. Good luck!

Terri, these are gorgeous! I love the pink one. I have one hydrangea that was given to me. I stuck it in the ground and it keeps on blooming every spring. It must like it here.

Thank you, Smith! Hydrangeas seem to be able to grow anywhere. Too cold here to leave them in pots. I transplanted mine to a garden bed where it’s doing OK. Enjoy your week as well!
