Welcome to the new Flower Hour!
I am super excited to offer another photo challenge!
Every Tuesday, I will publish a post of a flower or flowers. There is no specific theme.
Images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves, blossoms, berries, wildflowers, as well as bouquets and silk/faux flowers, are welcome.

Any blogger may participate and interpret the challenge with their original floral photos. New flower images are welcomed, and archived images are encouraged.
It is not my intention to replace or in any way copy our beloved Cee’s Flower of the Day photo challenge. We all miss her beautiful photography and her genuine friendship and caring for other bloggers.
When possible, each linked post will be shared on the Bluesky app to boost your blog’s exposure! If you share on social media or in WordPress, please use the hashtag #theflowerhour.
Similar to my Sunday Stills Photo Challenges, please:

I encourage “double-dipping” with other blog challenges if you do not want to create a separate post.

I am looking forward to your participation each week.

Thank you, Vipa! We’re you aware of Cee’s Flower of the Day challenge? Sadly she passed away last March. I borrowed this idea from her in her honor. I’m excited you’re excited! 🌻

Oh no, I am quite new to this. Thanks! But it’s a lovely idea to carry forward, though.

Terri, thanks for hosting another great challenge! Your photo of the sunflowers and bird is a beautiful way to kick off the challenge. I’m still working on the Sunday Stills challenge but here is my first Flower Hour https://wanderingdawgs.com/2025/10/08/the-flower-hour-white-zinnia/

Thank you, Beth. I pondered about doing this challenge after Cee passed. We thought her partner would carry on with FOTD, but so far it’s not happening. I thought, why not? And this like Sunday Stills, can be linked all week.

This is a wonderful idea, Terri. I see some flowers in my neighborhood, but I’m not so knowledgeable with their names, but yes, Google can. I might be encouraged to join.

Oooohhh, yay, Hazel! Even if you don’t know the flower name, its OK. Someone else always knows. Thanks for considering it 🌻
