Thank you, Hazel! My neighbor takes good care of her lawn. And the chicken p@@p doesn’t hurt 😂

Yeah, it’s okay for me.🤭 the enjoyment with them outweighs than the waste they give to the surroundings. You’re always welcome, Terri

I’m glad your birds are having another go. you must have a good viewing spot for them.

Hans wrapped sheet metal around the post up near the nest. If it was a cat, it won’t get back up there. I doubt it was another bird, since the male Phoebe runs interference 24/7. I can see the nest from our guest bathroom window.

You have a perfect view of this nesting Mama Terri – I remember you said they can’t see you but you see them and the nest. I’m glad they tried again for themselves … and you! Are you keeping chickens now, or are they friendly wanderers?

Hand just covered the top two feet of the post with sheet metal to keep critters from climbing up to the nest. The phoebes patiently waited until he was done and they went back to business in the nest.
Those are my neighbor’s chickens. I took care of them for 4 days while they were away.

I’m glad they are safe now and now the waiting and watching begins! Okay, well that is kind of you to do that for for your neighbors.

You have chickens! Fresh eggs every day!

Haha, they’re my neighbor’s. I was chicken-sitting the last few days. But I do get fresh eggs!

Fresh eggs are something to be cherished……especially in the States these days! Don’t let Donald know or he’ll for sure tariff them!

Such an unusual name. We don’t have them here, so knowing how to read your sentences with ‘says phoebes’ in it, is tricky.

I’d never heard of this species of flycatchers until I did a Google search last year when they showed up on our property. Say rhymes with Day. I wonder who Say was? 😁

The phoebes have such personality! I hope Mom, Dad, and those four little phoebes-to-be are safe!

Such cute birds, Janis. Hans just installed sheet metal around the post to prevent any cats or critters from climbing up to the nest.

Thank you, Colleen! It’s been so interesting to watch their nesting process over the last 2 years. I’m glad they laid another clutch and will be around another few weeks. Hubby is attaching some sheet metal around the post to keep the cat from climbing the post to the nest.

I love the colors of the phoebe in that last shot of her. So subtle.

They’re so cute, Dawn. A small splash of that peachy pink, they look like a female Robin at first glance. But smaller.

Thank you, Anne! Both parents are super dedicated. And they’re used to us and not as shy as they were last year.
