Words For Wednesday: About Fellow PhotoBlogger Cee

Many of you know about the passing of fellow blogger and friend Cee Neuner. If you followed her blog, you would know she hosted several photo challenges, including the wildly popular Flower of the Day (FOTD). She passed peacefully on March 3, 2025. Please read Becky B’s post for more information.

I’m sure Cee touched all of us in some way through her gorgeous photography and meaningful comments. She was an enthusiastic fan of many other photo challenges, which kept her busy enough. She always made time to comment back on her posts or leave a heartfelt comment on our posts as well.

Cee was a fan of florals and likely still has countless files in her image archives. Her incredible photos of dahlias inspired me to take the leap to grow my own once we moved to Washington.

In early 2021, I was excited to be invited by Cee to join a Zoom blogger group that included Marsha, Carol, and Judy. We would sit for a good hour each Tuesday, yacking about blogging, photography, and the latest gossip in the blog world. I get a little misty thinking about how special that time was.

Cee lived near Portland, Oregon, and I always felt like her neighbor (I live within a 5-hour drive), although I never got the chance to meet her in person. I’m sure we all have sweet memories of our beloved friend Cee.

Her partner, Chris, is making decisions about the future of Cee’s blog and the Flower of the Day Feature. I am sure we will know more about this as time passes.

For now, I am sharing these flowers in memory of Cee.

This is the first time we’ve seen these tiny flowers cover a half-acre of our property in the four years we’ve lived here. It’s as if the flowers have come out to wish Cee a beautiful view of eternity.

Rest in Peace, my friend.

  1. Your Dahlias are stunning Terri – the colors are wonderful too. I never knew Cee nor participated in her FOTD Challenge – yours is the only Challenge I participate in, but I know a fellow blogger who often posts flowers with the banner FOTD. You have done a beautiful tribute to Cee, as did Yvette Prior, Priorhouse Blog) yesterday.

  2. This is so lovely Terri 🥲 Beautiful flowers, the Dahlias are spectacular. The little Draba Verna are a wonderful last photo and to have spreading like that. I hope they aren’t a pest and take over too much
    Thanks for joining in 😀

  3. So sorry to hear about Cee’s passing, Terri. She was a wonderful and inspiring blogger. And I almost got to meet her with you! This is a lovely tribute to her. I can imagine she’s smiling as she reads it.
