It’s time for the Flower Hour!

This time, last year, we visited the Scottsdale/Fountain Hills, Arizona area—the desert in winter.
Taking my dog for walks is the only form of exercise I can engage in, but it’s always worth it, walking around my brother’s neighborhood.
Desert décor and landscape are always interesting to see. Soon after the holidays, many aloe plants were still sporting their holiday décor.

Around another corner, the prickly pear cactus blushes profusely at being seen so early in the morning.

And if one is lucky and the timing is right, the saguaro cacti show off their bouquets.

For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome.
There are no specific themes for the Flower Hour, but please use your own photography. And you have all week to link to this post.

Thank you, Beth, The saguaros look so human-like anyway with their body and bend arms. The crown of flowers reminded me of little hats. This one in particular was over 10 feet tall, so I really had to zoom to see the flowers.

Thank you, Donna! I’m always so happy to see you on the blog! I think AZ is in for a super bloom again this year! And yes, we head that way at the end of February, planning a week in Scottsdale and a few days in Tucson.

It looks like poppies have started already at Bartlett lake. It’s early. I connected/invited you to a FB group that tracks the blooms. It’s been pretty accurate over the years.
And thank you. Always hope to see you.

Beautiful cacti! I passed by a home yesterday on my bike that had a blooming cacti in the first photo. I forget the name.

Thank you, John, I wonder if you saw a golden torch cactus flower? I have a pic of one I will share soon. They are large, mostly white with some pinkish exterior petals with a yellow center. I think the desert SW is in for a super bloom this spring!

Very nice, it would be nice if the Saguro cacti grew here but they don’t…
