    We saw the aurora borealis nearly every night when living in Norther Finland, but more or less only during the winter. And they are looking different there, more dynamic, like curtains in the wind.
    We especially like your last picture. Clever edited to make it look like a painting.

    • Thank you, KB! Seeing the northern lights in Finland is a must-see for me. That must be an amazing sight! Being as far south as we are, we’re super lucky to see them, but you need a camera or phone lens to see the colors. I’m glad you liked my slightly filtered Montana pic. I did that on my phone with the built-in editing app. Thanks for looking!

      • Hi Terry

        The easiest place to reach to see aurora borealis is Tromsø. You can fly from Oslo to Tromsø. There is a high chance too see the aurora borealis in winter. Actually we can see here the northern lights as well, not really but a reflection of it. We are situated 53 degrees N, not that far North.
        In Tromsø like here you can see the lights without a filter.

  12. These are great sky shots Terri – I am glad our stormy skies are finally gone, just plain rain overnight. Too much excitement with this weather. The Aurora shot is beautiful and we might have had one here in Michigan with another possible geomagnetic storm coming up, but we have more rain and clouds the rest of the week which will persist. Grrr!

  21. Terri, I enjoyed all of your wonderful stormy images. You are the only one so far who though1 of the Aurora Borealis. That one and the strange June skies are my favorites. And of course I love the cat Stormy! Thanks for participating in the challenge.
