So beautiful in every way, Terri. I love the quote as well as the photos. And that sunshine isn’t so bad either. ❤

Thank you, Diana! Today may be our last warm and sunny day here. Autumn leaves are quite spectacular.

Oregon is pretty cloudy and gray today. I guess autumn is doing its thing. 🙂

Absolutely gorgeous photos, Terri! Last night, I finally swapped out the spring/summer clothes in my closet for fall/winter ones. Why do I dread this process so much BUT love when I am doing it in reverse? 😀

Thank you, Donna! I do the same thing! I don’t know why it’s a surprise to see the fall/winter clothes…I actually enjoy them. But I feel the same way you do about seeing my summer clothes.

Lovely photos! Early autumn is beautiful, but I’m always sad to see summer go.

My favourite season – autumn. And I love the quote, Terri. ‘A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summer’s wave goodbye.’ Autumn colours are amazing, especially in the early morning light with the sun low in the sky.
I don’t mind the summer if it’s not too hot and humid.

Mine too, Hugh. Thank you! We are having a spectacular autumn this year. Last year’s was a dud–too hot too long, then snow! I enjoy summer too, but everywhere I’ve lived, it can get hot, although Spokane isn’t too bad on the average.

My favorite season Terri and part of it is the rich colors, both which are evident in your first photo. I can hear the leaves crackling under my shoes when looking at the Norway Maple leaves photo.

Mine, too, Linda! This is the first year I really noticed the Norway maples. They are everywhere and their colors are truly rich, like browned butter.

Hopefully the carpet of leaves will not soon be covered by snow!

I love the composition of your photo, Terri. Now that I can see four seasons here, I like to think of fallen leaves as signs to welcome snow.

Thank you, Miriam 🍁 we still have a few leaves to fall yet, but that 4th season gets closer every day!

The pine trees will be here, Terri. I got my first sniffing and sneezing. I try to stop it before it gets serious. 🙃

Oh no, you’re allergic to pine pollen? I think I would cry if I was allergic. What do you take?

So far I only take Zinc tablets.

I’m always so excited to see everyone’s fall pictures! Is that beautiful view by the water close to your house?

Thanks, Janis, I bet you are. The leaves were taken across the street but the lake view is a short 9 mile drive. The Centennial Trail begins there, it’s amazing all year long 😁

Such a lovely time of year, so long as it’s dry. Not a lot of Autumn colour here in Toulouse and probably even less in the Algarve. Hopefully home tonight but there was a bomb threat at the airport. 🤔🍁🩵

I am always so sorry to see summer leave. It seems to be here only a few moments. But I know that Penny is going to love fall, her first, and I already know she loves snow, so we’re going to have so much fun!

Me, too, Dawn. But you and Penny have a lot to look forward to with fall and winter. I can’t wait to see how she handles snow 🙂
