  1. So beautiful in every way, Terri. I love the quote as well as the photos. And that sunshine isn’t so bad either. ❤

      1. Oregon is pretty cloudy and gray today. I guess autumn is doing its thing. 🙂

  3. Absolutely gorgeous photos, Terri! Last night, I finally swapped out the spring/summer clothes in my closet for fall/winter ones. Why do I dread this process so much BUT love when I am doing it in reverse? 😀

    1. Thank you, Donna! I do the same thing! I don’t know why it’s a surprise to see the fall/winter clothes…I actually enjoy them. But I feel the same way you do about seeing my summer clothes.

  7. My favourite season – autumn. And I love the quote, Terri. ‘A fallen leaf is nothing more than a summer’s wave goodbye.’ Autumn colours are amazing, especially in the early morning light with the sun low in the sky.

I don’t mind the summer if it’s not too hot and humid.

    1. Mine too, Hugh. Thank you! We are having a spectacular autumn this year. Last year’s was a dud–too hot too long, then snow! I enjoy summer too, but everywhere I’ve lived, it can get hot, although Spokane isn’t too bad on the average.

  12. My favorite season Terri and part of it is the rich colors, both which are evident in your first photo. I can hear the leaves crackling under my shoes when looking at the Norway Maple leaves photo.

    1. Mine, too, Linda! This is the first year I really noticed the Norway maples. They are everywhere and their colors are truly rich, like browned butter.

      1. The pine trees will be here, Terri. I got my first sniffing and sneezing. I try to stop it before it gets serious. 🙃

      2. Oh no, you’re allergic to pine pollen? I think I would cry if I was allergic. What do you take?

      3. So far I only take Zinc tablets.

    1. Thanks, Janis, I bet you are. The leaves were taken across the street but the lake view is a short 9 mile drive. The Centennial Trail begins there, it’s amazing all year long 😁

  22. Such a lovely time of year, so long as it’s dry. Not a lot of Autumn colour here in Toulouse and probably even less in the Algarve. Hopefully home tonight but there was a bomb threat at the airport. 🤔🍁🩵

    1. Me, too, Dawn. But you and Penny have a lot to look forward to with fall and winter. I can’t wait to see how she handles snow 🙂
