Just what you’ve been waiting for; the Sunday Stills Monthly Photo color challenge! This month we explore shades of the color “apricot,” a light yellowish-orangish color that is similar to the color of apricots. The color range is shown here.

These are actual apricots captured at the nearby farmer’s market.

“Rich in vitamin A, beta-carotene, and other carotenoids, apricots are excellent for promoting eye health. Lutein helps to support retina and lens health, while carotenoids and vitamin E support overall vision. Apricot nutrients also help to reduce the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts.”

Yellows and soft oranges combine to give you these hues. In nature, you may see this range of colors.

Always Remember
Today, 9-11 is commemorated in the US and remembered worldwide. It has been 21 years since the multiple air attacks by terrorists who thought they could destroy the heart of the American people.

“Queen Elizabeth II, who died Thursday after a historic reign as monarch of the United Kingdom, was a steadfast ally of the United States, notably breaking tradition by singing the U.S. national anthem just days after 9/11. The queen joined a crowd of thousands in singing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner”’during a memorial service at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London for the victims on Sept. 14, 2001…. It is believed to be the first time a British monarch sang the anthem in public.”

To my friends in the UK and Commonwealth nations, may your beloved Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace.
