Hooray, we’re back to the Floral ABCs this week! This week, we’re sharing three flowers (or plants, or trees!) that begin with the letters J, K, and L. They don’t have to be blooming or in season right now—anything from your archives is welcome.
If you’re stumped, feel free to get creative and use the scientific name.

For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, fungus, algae, cacti, trees and tree blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome.
I’m so glad you are enjoying this challenge. This week has indeed been a challenge for me to find a plant, flower or tree that begins with K. So I cheated, but only for the sake of an example 😊
Let’s start with Letter J. I share two and I won’t make you guess this week!

Drumroll for Letter K, and don’t roll your eyes…

Uh, yeah… the shamrock with K at the end, is a bit of a cheat… but ya gotta be creative!
I’m counting on my friends in Australia and other tropical locations to share your Ks!
I am also making it up with a bonus Painted Lady butterfly on Lavender fresh from my garden.

Also sharing this hummer versus lavender shot for Brian’s Last on the Card.

Anyone can join the Flower Hour with their original photos. You can also use AI tools to edit or reimagine your images. New flower images are welcome, and archived images are encouraged. You have all week to link to this post.
New to The Flower Hour photo challenge? Please check out my page for more information! I encourage “double-dipping” with other blog challenges if you do not want to create a separate post.
A Look-Ahead, for the planners…
8/11 FH #43 Your choice
8/18 FH #44 Floral ABCs—Letters M, N, O
You do not have to participate in this theme at all; simply share a flower, plant or tree of your choosing, as long as it is a version of YOUR original photograph!
