The Flower Hour #24: Easter Lilies

For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, fungus, algae, cacti, blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome.

Below is a Calla lily, which symbolizes beauty, purity, and rebirth across various cultures.

For many, the beautiful trumpet-shaped white flowers of the Easter lily symbolize purity, virtue, innocence, hope, and life—the spiritual essence of Easter.

If you acknowledge the Lenten season leading up to Easter, we just celebrated Palm Sunday. Easter Sunday is April 5, 2026.

Because we planned our road trip to be in Northern California this week, we were pleased to attend services at our former church in Sacramento on Palm Sunday. What a blessing!

  23. My birthday is near Easter. Sometimes it’s even on Easter. Because of that, over the years, people have tended to give me Easter lily plants for my birthday. Unfortunately I really don’t like their smell. But I always smile and say thank you and after the people are gone I put it outside. 🙂
