Those colorful rocks really leap out at you compared to any black-and-white images Terri. But the monochrome photos are still as stunning as to leaving me awestruck with the uniqueness of this venue.

Thank you, Linda. Whether color or b&w, they each reveal something different.

Yes, they do – I must experiment with b&w … I did once when I went to a Ford Model A 90th anniversary car show – it was fun, so I tried out a B&W image.

One of your pictures looks like you are out of this world standing with no gravity! Very cool pics. I linked to this one today because I’m doing my Sunday Stills post tomorrow. 🙂

Lol, I felt like I was walking on air. That was a Painnt app image. I look forward to yours!

Don’t expect anything as spectacular as yours are.

I really like the one of you in the B&W. A framer.

Thank you, Donna! I have to thank the Navajo guide for taking it.

These monochrome images remind me of the early black and white episodes of the Twilight Zone. They look like they’re right out of the Twilight Zone, Terri. Black and white photography give images such a different perspective.

I love that, Hugh, thank you. B&W reveals other details that color might otherwise overshadow.

I love the color photos, but the B&W versions really accentuate the lines.

Thanks, Graham, it’s amazing what shows up in b&w.

Still stellar in monochrome. The layers stand out so well.

Love the shot iof you in the canyon. in Monochrome it has a very sci-fi vibe. FYI, two posts again, one just the titles and empty of content, https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/47362352/posts/5127678850

Thank you, Marie. Black and White does have that sci-fi vibe–love it!
And thanks for letting me know. I’ve noticed this on some blogs too, but there is nothing I can do on my end. I’ve checked my own subscriptions and everything looks normal. You should check yours to make sure you didn’t follow me twice. WP Reader underwent some changes recently so that could be the culprit.

Not a problem for me, just letting you know. Thought maybe it was related to the Jetpack issues you were having.

The anonymous comments have mostly stopped for me. Many others have reported the same. I’ve been making sure I’m logged in to WP on my desktop and Jetpack is up to date.

It’s easy to see why native Indians loved this area.

Interesting, Terri. Although I love b&w, I love the amazing colors of the canyon walls more. I’m really looking forward to what everyone comes up with for your next Sunday Stills challenge.

I am a color person, Janis. But there are photo ops where black and white are perfect.

Absolutely! Sometimes I have a photo that feels like it’s missing something. Then I find that by taking more away (the color) it becomes better.

Great pics, Teri. Perhaps the Valley of Fire should be on my list!

Thank you, Diana! When I couldn’t go to Antelope Canyon in 2019 due to snow and other travel restrictions, we discovered the Valley of Fire state park. There was a short slot canyon we saw to whet our appetites. VoF has some amazing geologic features. Worth the trip!

I agree, Debbie, thank you. Haunting as someone else mentioned in another post.

Thank you, Nancy!! I hadn’t thought about seeing Antelope Canyon in monochrome but our guide took my pic with my phone. It came out better than I expected.
