Those colorful rocks really leap out at you compared to any black-and-white images Terri. But the monochrome photos are still as stunning as to leaving me awestruck with the uniqueness of this venue.

Yes, they do – I must experiment with b&w … I did once when I went to a Ford Model A 90th anniversary car show – it was fun, so I tried out a B&W image.

These monochrome images remind me of the early black and white episodes of the Twilight Zone. They look like they’re right out of the Twilight Zone, Terri. Black and white photography give images such a different perspective.

And thanks for letting me know. I’ve noticed this on some blogs too, but there is nothing I can do on my end. I’ve checked my own subscriptions and everything looks normal. You should check yours to make sure you didn’t follow me twice. WP Reader underwent some changes recently so that could be the culprit.

The anonymous comments have mostly stopped for me. Many others have reported the same. I’ve been making sure I’m logged in to WP on my desktop and Jetpack is up to date.

Interesting, Terri. Although I love b&w, I love the amazing colors of the canyon walls more. I’m really looking forward to what everyone comes up with for your next Sunday Stills challenge.

I am a color person, Janis. But there are photo ops where black and white are perfect.

Absolutely! Sometimes I have a photo that feels like it’s missing something. Then I find that by taking more away (the color) it becomes better.

Thank you, Diana! When I couldn’t go to Antelope Canyon in 2019 due to snow and other travel restrictions, we discovered the Valley of Fire state park. There was a short slot canyon we saw to whet our appetites. VoF has some amazing geologic features. Worth the trip!

Thank you, Nancy!! I hadn’t thought about seeing Antelope Canyon in monochrome but our guide took my pic with my phone. It came out better than I expected.
