thanks, Diana! I’m sure you see your share of deer and others. The quail and woodpeckers have been flocking around looking for seeds. I’ve got some I’ll spread out later.

Looks like you have leapt over that fence straight into winter! There has been snow on Mauna Kea the last two days even as Mauna Loa is pouring fire towards it. I’d shovel up some lava and send it to you but, as you know, that would be very unlucky. Stay warm, Terri.

Winter came early here, Graham, no worries, though. We’re prepared. A total of almost 10 inches fell yesterday on top of 3 inches. We have shovels and a snow blower. Always interesting to read about mountains with both snow and lava flow–only in Hawaii!

I’ve been wanting to go up on Saddle Road to see the flow but it’s a zoo up there with all the traffic. Hopefully things will settle down.

Oh tell me about it–I shoveled a bit this morning after 6 inches fell, just our deck, then 5 more fell so I gave up! Hubby did the rest! Thanks, Bernie!

The more outside space we complete the more we have to shovel! When our patio area was gravel we made sure we could get in and out. Now it’s paving stones we clean it all. Add in the balcony, veranda and the back stairs new landing and it’s a good work out!!

How exciting to get these close-up shots Terri. So peaceful to see these deer in the snow and that buck posed nicely for you. I can imagine him thinking “she looks like a blogger, so I’ll give her my best profile so I can be admired many times over.”

Hahaha, that’s too funny, Linda! For a young guy he was very vigilant. They all seem to be very tame around here–we’ve seen 20 at a time roaming around the properties.

I would love to see so many deer roaming about and leaving hoof prints in the snow as well. Yes, the young buck was a surprise to see in this post.

Thank you, Donna! We got a major snow event and we’re up to almost 12 inches of snow today. My neighbor feeds the deer so we love watching the parade.

Check check to all of the above, Joe! I just shoveled off 7 inches of snow from our back door to our deck and 3 more inches has fallen since 9am! Oh boy!

I started watching a new series on Netflick called “Sweet Tooth”. The main character is a 10 year old male who is part human part Deer.
I do like it!
