For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, fungus, algae, cacti, trees and tree blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome.

Remember, there are no specific themes for the Flower Hour, but please use your own photography from your archives or new images. Your original images reimagined with AI tools in post-editing are also welcome. And you have all week to link to this post.

      Huh, I grew up seeing them all over California. Theyre a ground cover succulent that flowers. I haven’t seen any in Spokane. Probably to cold and dry for them.

      Thank you, Eugi! They grow all over Hillsides along freeways and roads in California. The plants protect the hillsides from moving or sliding. Pretty and practical.

    I’ve never seen Ice Plants before – very unusual! Yes, you are right Terri – sunflowers are amazing, no matter what color they are, even black & white!

        Oh, cool! Pink, white, purple and yellow, I believe. I’d see them all along the southern California freeways. They help prevent wildfires.

        These grow on sand dunes and are good dune stabilisers because they are low growing and spread. By covering the sand, they plants stop sand blowing away towards the land. That’s how sand dunes “walk”. It also has the unfortunate name “Pig Face”
        It’ll be my flower this week…..if I find the photo from a long while ago

      Hahaha, you’re too funny, Pam! I think flowers are creative enough, right? The ice plants grow on the side of hills in California. They’re a succulent that flowers seasonally. I captured these years ago at the Sacramento River Delta. (Ice Plant Delosperma–official name).
