For the Flower Hour, share your images of flowers, gardens, fields of flowers, seasonal leaves and plants, fungus, algae, cacti, tree blossoms, berries, and wildflowers. Bouquets and silk/faux flowers are welcome. Let’s add trees to the mix!
There are no specific themes for the Flower Hour; please use your own photography.
This week, I attempt to meet the Lens-Artists challenge using the composition tools of depth, perspective, and scale. I admit to my lack of training in formal photography. I “know” what looks good and naturally compose images with an artistic eye. But I enjoy learning more with these challenges, thanks, John!

Depth
Spring’s Arrowleaf Balsamroot “sunflowers” adorn miles of the forest floor.

Scale
A humbling walk among the Giant Coastal Redwoods.

Perspective
Getting down and maybe dirty as I captured this angle of the tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Oregon.

“To consult the rules of composition before taking a picture is a little like consulting the law of gravitation before going for a walk.” ― Edward Weston
