Welcome back to the second Flower Hour! I’m deeply touched by the tremendous welcome and interest in this new photo challenge. I was impressed by your enthusiasm and the generous number of links you shared.
Autumn is in the air here in the Northern Hemisphere! Fall florals and LEAVES abound.

For those living in the Southern Hemisphere, thank you for sharing your gorgeous spring flowers! Keep ’em coming.
My sunflowers are still standing tall, but they are heavy with seeds, ready to be harvested.

Hi Terri
We especially like your first picture with the different colours and the arrangement of the leaves.
We love autumn. This year, the summer took too long to end for our taste.

Good idea Terri – we’ve not had a hard frost in my region yet, so the flowers are still perky and a lot of the leaves are still green.

I compared last year’s photos to this year’s. Our warm, long summer delayed fall by a few extra days. I got some cool, misty pics on the lake this morning. Will share some this weekend.

Thank you, Suzette! That sunflower and the rest still standing are bowing their heavy-laden seeded heads. I’m waiting a few more days to harvest the seeds and save most for the birds this winter and plant more.

You are so kind,Terri. They will be welcome treats for the birds this winter, no doubt. Happy harvesting.

Beautiful!! Alaska does not naturally have maple trees, though a few folks have brought them from elsewhere and planted them. Few and far between, though. I love the brilliant fall colors they bring!

Makes sense, Rivta! Our neighbors have two big Norway Maples which are very golden, then mixed with brown. Quite striking. I think ours here are sugar maples.

Flowers and plants are fun to photograph. I would guess the top most photographed subjects are flowers, birds and landscapes. And thus shared in the blogging world.
