Sharing for Lens- Artists: Tools of Photo Composition

I begin my road trip to Portland, Oregon, this week to see Marsha, Diana, and Miriam!
Please join me for the Sunday Stills Color Challenge, where we take a look at the faded colors of summer’s beiges, tans, and peaches.

Have a safe trip to Oregon Terri. I liked these photos – you’ll snap more along the way I’m sure. I laughed at the “Sheep Patterns” photo because at first glance I thought it was boulders tumbling down, hence the dust – yikes!

Thank you, Linda! The Hwy 84 is pretty but I’m driving so not many pics. But there will be great photo ops all weekend. The sheep were being herded across the highway. It was a lucky click!

Lots of photo ops there then – a former blogger lives in Oregon and always had beautiful shots on her nature hikes. Lucky clicks are the best. Safe travels Terri!

Thank you, Egidio. These archived images were fun to share today. The sheep were a lucky catch along Hwy 395 in the Eastern Sierra.

Road trips are the best… especially when there is a blogger meet-up involved! I love your image of the sheep. We have herds of goats around here for brush clean-up. They are so much fun to watch.

Thank you, Janis! I’m excited to visit Portland again. Many cities in California seem to utilize goats for grazing hillsides. Win-win! 🐐🐑

Great post for the current LAPC challenge Terri! My favorite is the sheep. They are being well fed around here. What a great way to keep fire danger down. I’m getting a funny image in my head of my grandfather yelling at the sheep in Yiddish., “Essen, Essen!” That means eat!. Yes very emphatically. When we would come to visit. My grandmother always had something on the stove. Now where did that memory come from?

Thank you, Anne! The sheep shot was a lucky grab from the car, up near Mammoth Lakes. Essen, eat! Love it! I learned that word in Duolingo!
