  1. At least it’s not winter. I remember my daughter’s family came to our house when their power was out last winter. It’s sunny here also. I hope it’ll be sunny on Saturday for Autumn’s 7th birthday party in the park. 🎂

  2. Those maple trees look like a flower called ‘Red Hot Poker.’ They are the same colours, although the flowers are much smaller, of course. Such a magical time of the year, Terri.

I love the new subscribe box (by the way).

    • Thank you, Hugh! I took that maple images in early October last year. No doubt I will visit that street again soon for more photo ops. So that’s the subscribe box I disabled, LOL, since WP has the alternative. I had forgotten to use it once I selected the follow me button. We had quite the wind storm in Eastern WA yesterday which knocked out our power for 8 hours. All is good today.

      • Strangely, the subscribe box said I was not already subscribed to your blog, Terri. So, I signed up again, even though I already get email notifications when you publish new posts. I was not too fond of the thought of that box saying I was not subscribed.

I’m sorry to hear about the power outage. I guess those storms are a sign of what is to come. All of the storms that hit the UK are given names. Our first one for this autumn/winter will be called Ashley. Let’s hope she doesn’t arrive.

      • Thanks for trying to subscribe again, Hugh. Who knows why it was off kilter? Many times I go onto someone’s post from their link to mine and I’m told I’m not logged in to WP. Glitwhy!
This power outage was the taln of the town yesterday. So far, the few we’ve experienced lasted minutes or 1-2 hours. People who have lived here a long time said this was so widespread and quick in terms of lights out all at once. After the wildfire issues in California that were likely caused by Pacific Gas and Electric’s faulty wiring, it seems all Electric companies in the west are taking their time turning power back on. I sure feel for the folks in Florida dealing with the tropical storm now. Here’s hoping the UKs storms are few!

  3. Your first picture is so pretty Terri with all the gorgeous gold colors. How interesting that all seven red maples have turned the exact same amount of red. I have been walking at Council Point Park now for eleven years and there are many maple trees there. Those maple trees turn colors the exact same way every year, especially one large one that is ablaze with color in one third, near the pathway, while the rest is still green! I hope we don’t lose our vibrant colors this Fall. We got several bouts of torrential rain yesterday and may get the dregs of Hurricane Helene, but if we don’t, our September is the driest on record since 1877.
