That bee on the sunflower is something else! Sorry, didn’t have time to take part yesterday as we were travelling to our caravan.

Many thanks, Nancy! There was also a tiny beetle walking up the stalk. He was stalking. LOL!

A grand opening indeed Terri. I trust the tomatoes tasted as good as they look.

As I mentioned on your last sunflower post, I love them too. I enjoyed the sequence but I wondered for a moment when I got to the delicious looking tomatoes just exactly how they fit in. 🙂 Then I saw the reason they were there and my mind relaxed.

I’m so glad you’re relaxed, Janet 😀 –it just so happened that was really a last-on-the card shot the day I styled the cherry tomatoes on the sunflower napkin. Yes it was a bit of a stretch!

Sunflowers already opening – wow, how stunning they are! Your tomato looks delicious Terri.

Thank you, Linda, so far that is the first bloom, the others coming any day. I just noticed one of the Early Girl tomatoes is finally turning red. The ones in the pic are cherry.

With all the heat and rain we’ve been having lately, everyone’s flowers and veggies should be doing well too. I was feeding the Cardinals safflower seeds in my yard since the squirrels don’t like them. The seeds kept dropping into the lava rock garden and I worried about mice. I cleaned it up, blew the tiny seeds away, but some remained mbedded in the lava rock garden so now I have safflowers a couple of inches high (which look like weeds). I switched to shelled peanuts and got Chickadees too, but the squirrels took over the feeder so I have to come up with a new plan after my trees and bushes are removed later this Summer.

Hi, Terri – Your sunflower posts remind me that I truly need to plant some sunflowers in our garden They truly are an amazing flower!

They are so pretty, Donna! Mine are all volunteers this year thanks to a neighbor’s seeds and birds, LOL! I want to plant some next year from the seeds I saved from Sacramento.

Love that so many things were waiting for the Sunflower to open. Those tomatoes look so good. Produce from your garden? Thanks for joining in Terri 🙂 🙂

Thanks, Brian! The bugs cracked me up! Those are cherry tomatoes from my garden so far. I have yellow cherry sungolds, but I keep eating them before I take a pic 😀

My girls would be playing outside and devour any of the tiny tomatoes that were in the garden 🙂

My neighbor’s sunflowers are opening now too and I’m having fun taking pictures of them and the busy bees. I love your picture of the flower with the water droplets.

Thanks, Cee! I was so focused on a clear shot, I didn’t see the tiny beetle walking up the stalk 🌻

I’ve done that too. I also sometimes don’t look at the background which has ruined many good photos. 😀 😀
