Remembering February in Sacramento with the blooming of Almond trees!

Spring brings clouds of blossoms

Almond trees bloom from mid-February to Mid-March in California, reminding us that spring is near!

  1. Hi Terri – for some reason, your Flower Hour post today showed up in my Notifications area, but not in Reader, nor on your site. Maybe something weird with WP … maybe my WP? Maybe it was supposed to publish Tuesday? Anyway, I can’t comment on it, so I’ll comment here on your last Flower Hour post if that’s okay.

“Enjoy your stay in the sun and fun Terri! I like the cacti – they make me feel warmer looking at them. I was surprised to find out a few years ago that a Prickly Pear Cactus is very resilient and can overwinter outside in SE Michigan and come back just as hardy!”

    • I’m working on my laptop and the Flower Hour post for Tuesday posted without giving me the chance to scheduled it. I recalled it back, but it still sent emails 🙄

Not you, WP schedule glitch. It should post on Tuesday. Funny you should mention prickly pear cacti, I’m sharing one this week, fresh from Arizona!

      • Terri, I saw it in my e-mail today – I wonder why it went to Notifications? I only have your posts going there so I know when you post on Sundays to add the link and/or add my link to Flower Hour. I go there before Reader.

So, I always set the date/time for my post as soon as I type the title, before I type anything else, a hint I learned from Hugh Roberts long ago. Your scheduling glitch is similar to something that happened to me two or three times last week. I typed my comment, went to proofread it and then press “send”. I got “duplicate comment” which could not be. That happens off and on, so I always just change the wording which usually works, so I did that and pressed “send” – it happened again. So just for the heck of it, I went to the blog site and there was my comment from five minutes earlier. So that is a glitch like what happened to you. WP sends before you press “send” – yikes! I wondered why you opted to post Sunday. I’ve never had prickly pear cactus before – how does it taste?

      • Thanks for reminding me I need to update my laptop. I suspect that’s why it published Sunday, when I attempted to schedule it for Tuesday. I got an email too, which I deleted. My WP admin page has the post scheduled on the proper date, but not before it glitches. Usually, when I select publish, I have the option to select the date/time, but it went straight to publish. Ergg. No telling what’s going on with comments!

      • Craziness abounds it seems. I will dig out my comment and re-comment tomorrow. And I just read Hugh Roberts’ post about Anonymous. I don’t think I’ve had that problem before. I just had a long chat session with Malwarebytes as it won’t allow me to access Debbie (Doglady’s Den) site half the time – it deems it unsafe though I’ve whitelisted it several times. So, I’ll see what they say. I had many screenshots I’ve saved the past few months to back up my complaint.
