  1. I know it’s the last day for the red prompts … I’ve seen Brian’s all month. Well you sure captured them here Terri. I have seen Pike Place coffee in the grocery store and wondered about the origin. I just use instant coffee so I’ve never had it, but we had a Starbucks in our office building years ago and I was a regular. 🙂 I also like the quote by Jeff Bezos. As a person who used to sew my own clothes as I was so tall, that’s quite a visual. Now, when I have to thread a regular sewing needle, it takes umpteen tries to thread it. 🙂

    1. I squeaked in the last red post. Seattle is famous for several brands as well as Washington apples. Kirkland, a Costco brand, is a city near Seattle. Starbucks coffee is a little strong in their shops, but I’ve bought their Kcups or used less for ground roast. Have a good rest of your week!

      1. Back in the day I used to have a large cup of whatever Starbucks was brewing that morning – they had different robust brews every day and I drank it black for goodness sake. I liked the Italian and French roasts, but was not keen on Sumatra – it was very strong. I am sure I was humming all day long. I have never been to Costco as it’s just me. I was set to walk for three days at big parks, but the wildfire smoke is back and I decided it wasn’t good for the camera – I would have masked up, so then we go back to the heat and humidity and rain again – what a Summer!! You enjoy the rest of your week too Terri!

      1. You’re welcome, Terri. Yes, Jeff Bezos married Lauren Sánchez in June 2025 in Venice, Italy. I read the wedding was quite the ado.

  8. Seattle is such a fun city to explore (as long as you don’t have to drive 🙂 ). It’s been a few years since my last visit but I know I’ll be back!

    1. And I didn’t have to drive at all, Janis! My cousin drove. Then we took the monorail to see the Needle, which was quite fun. Public Transportation there was really well-thought out.

And Taste of summer is this coming Sunday. My post from yesterday would have been perfect.

    1. I can’t believe hadn’t been to Seattle
sooner–we literally live 5 hours away by car! It was magical even with crowds. And yes, we stood and waiting a few minutes for the fish throwing. I used to train staff with the “Fish Video Philo&osophy ; years ago and got very nostalgic seeing the fish market in person.
Feel free to link to my Taste post this Sunday if you wish, Nancy. Vacation is over, so to speak. Just a quick break. 🙂
