  1. Happy HOWL-o-ween!! Hope you had a good one. Those pups are precious. I had Siberian Huskies for years, and boy, could they howl. My husband and I embarrass our 8-year-old granddaughter by howling unexpectedly when we are together. She says we don’t ‘howl’ right – not like a real wolf, according to her.

The plant photo is so fun. Need to remember to look for humor in the things I am photographing. I always want everything to be pretty. But funny is just as good!!

    1. Thank you, Leslie… ahwoooo! LOL! I can see your granddaughter rolling her eyes at your howls. I get a lot of unusual shots for some reason and I edit them to fit the theme when possible. Apparently I watch too much sci-fi, which probably inspired the zombie plants.

  2. Love the howling dogs! Have a fun Halloween! Sadly, we don’t get many trick or treaters either but a neighbor always has an adult get together after candy time.

    1. Thank you, Janis! We only have 2 homes on our street with kids, but I doubt they’re trick or treating here. But we have candy in case. Your adult party sounds like a great idea!

  5. Happy Hawl-o-ween, Terri. That’s a great capture of the dogs, but I do like the idea of ‘attack of the zombie plants.’ Austin will sometimes howl in his sleep, which wakes the rest of the household up, sometimes with a fright. I’m hoping there is no howling tonight.

    1. Thank you Hugh! I captured the dead plants years ago and thought they needed a good dust off for Halloween. It wasn’t too difficult to capture the howling goofballs, they did it every day for years. But Austin howling in his sleep sounds frightful! Oh what they must dream about!

  6. Happy Howl-O-Ween! Love it Terri! (Plants and trees are starting to look sad around here as well – the wind is something fierce out there, more so for Halloween – spooky stuff for sure!

      1. Unfortunately, I came in on the “tail end” of these brothers fun posts, but will look forward to fun memories like this one.

      2. I have countless pictures. Gideon was Aero’s older brother. He and my daughter lived with us for several years.

      3. That’s great – so you’ll have lots of pics to share down the road. I did not realize Gideon lived with you, which is an additional reason you were so devastated by his death, on top of being relatively close to Aero’s passing. I had just started following you around then as I recall.

      4. I still miss them both. Such amazing temperaments, so calm and loving. Brodie joined us in early 2017, and my daughter recently got a new cute dog. I’ll meet her in January. And you have a great memory!!

  11. Great photograph of howling dogs! We only had one dog that would howl. He was a mut and we put him in an obedience class along with his new buddy a Scottie. The one thing the instructor said at the beginning of class was no howling. We were in the middle of the course and in the middle of a class which was held at a park. I heard the sirens and looked down at the mutt, giving him warning not to howl. But, he couldn’t hold back. He started howling and so did many of the dogs. The instructor threw he clip board in the air and dismissed the class. She did pass the mutt in the end!

    1. What a great story, Anne. Our dogs likely howled at sirens, but Gideon was the instigator. I took a several videos of them. Funny and sweet to look back. I think the noises hurt their ears. And I love Scottie dogs!

    1. Thank you, Jacqui! Gideon, the blonde one, always instigated Aero into howling at who know what. Now, their spirits both run with each other in eternity. 🐾
