For Wordless Wednesday, let your images tell the story.
“As long as I live, I’ll hear waterfalls and birds and winds sing. I’ll interpret the rocks, learn the language of flood, storm, and the avalanche. I’ll acquaint myself with the glaciers and wild gardens, and get as near the heart of the world as I can.”
– John Muir
“There’s no better place to find yourself than sitting by a waterfall and listening to its music.”
― Roland R Kemler

Thank you, Willow. Washington lists these falls as top 10 in the state, but it seems to be a well kept secret.

we are drawn to these places because we are made of the same stuff

Indeed we are. We were lucky to find these amazing falls.

I really need to read more about John Muir, or people who walked that trail. What an achievement.

We thank Muir for his inspiration here in the US. I’m glad these falls are protected by the state of WA. Muir was instrumental in inspiring political leaders to set aside so much public land.

It’s really a nice little state park, but gets super crowded in the summer.

Thank you, Eugi! There are some gorgeous pics on Google maps of this place in the winter too. Very off the beaten track as they say!

I love your sign-off as well.

Thank you, Nancy! I admire others’ video images, its not as hard to do as I thought. I use Picmonkey (Canva does the same thing) to make my Emoji signature (Bitmoji is fun for this).

Wow – so majestic and yet seeming so isolated in a way. The green around it shows how the moisture of the falls extends outward and then stops. The quotes and the video were the icing on the cake for the post! Thanks for sharing the adventure with us. 🥰

Thanks for stopping by, Shelley! The place is so out of the way but worth the efforts to visit. It’s a nice state park and entrance was free in honor of Earth week (but we have a state park pass). I’m very encouraged by yours and many comments about adding a video.

You’re welcome! The off the beaten path places do have their sense of wonder don’t they? 😊
Yay – I’ll be curious to hear how the videos affect your memory usage for your blog. 🤔

When you convert the video to utube, it reduces the file significantly. But I don’t know how much.

Ah, that makes sense. I bet just having the link doesn’t affect the storage on our blogs? I hope that’s the case. Thanks for clarifying!

I actually have a better answer for you…YouTube converts the video to Mp4 which in my case with a 6 sec video was 2 MB. Large but not horrible for the media file.

Good to know – thank you for the clarification!

How powerful the Falls are in both the photos and the videos Terri. That is a wonderful quote from John Muir.
