Half-Dome in the Half-Light

,

Another entry for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Half-Light.

Half-Dome in the Half-Light: Come forth into the light of things...

While recently in Yosemite National Park, I captured several photos of Half-Dome. The image of Half-Dome is the well-known icon of Yosemite. I usually visit in the summertime, so it was nice to get my own photos with snow on the peaks.

“Come forth into the light of things, let nature be your teacher.” -Williams Wordsworth

I thought this quote went perfectly with the challenge.

Have you visited Yosemite? It is a “bucket-list” location.

  4. Yes, I visited many years ago. We drove through and fell in love with the place. We found a hotel and stayed the night so we could get another day in. We stopped every mile or so because there was another photograph opportunity. One of the best places I’ve ever visited, Terri.

  9. Yosemite is one of my favorites but I haven’t been for awhile. I love the idea of going off-season like you did. Fewer crowds and every bit as beautiful!

    1. It was packed on the Saturday before Easter, seemed like summer, but it was really great the other days. The falls were spectacular!

  10. Sigh… 🙂
I’ve had the good fortune to visit Yosemite twice, but this was before I started getting serious about photography. I’d love to go back again with my camera – soon hopefully.
