  2. We are fans of sunflowers as well, dear Terri. Unfortunately, we failed to grow them this year. Therefore, we can admire really big ones on the allotments across the lane.

    1. We’re lucky the birds seem to drop these seeds for us, KB. About a block away is a garden with huge sunflower. And I did plant a few this year. Enjoy your view! 🌻

  8. Beautiful flowers Terri! I just took some sunflower pictures today at Emily Frank Gardens for a Wordless Wednesday post for the yellow/burnt orange theme. They had some of these dark sunflowers too and lots of bees!

  14. Oh how I miss the sunflowers my neighbor (who, sadly, passed away) used to plant for me in his yard. I think next year I’ll plant my own. I love the Teddy Bear variety! Great pictures of beautiful flowers and happy bees!

    1. Thank you, Robbie! Isn’t that crazy? I grew some red sunflowers years ago when we lived in Northern California. My daughter planted the red one in her garden in San Diego.

    1. Indeed, Graham! I just stood there with my camera on zoom aimed at the sunflower and clicked away. I hoped I would get a brown/red sunflower for my garden–it was my daughter’s. I guess my Amazon sunflower seeds were duds 😦
