Those emerging tulips are so lovely. Spring has definitely sprung in your area!

Thank you, Janis! Most all of them are blooming now. I didn’t plant very many, but they’re fun to see.

I think Brodie is saying, “Let me at em, MOM!!!”

Oh, he was for sure, Dawn. He goes out full guns with his scary bark. He’s also fast, which unnerves me because I don’t want him to get close to a deer’s slashing hooves!

Those shots of the tulips with raindrops are especially lovely Terri 🙂

Terri, the flowers are gorgeous, especially after the rain from that brooding sky. Brodie has done a great job herding the deer outside the fence and relegated them to being curious onlookers. 🙂 I would love to see this scene in my backyard!

Thank you, Linda! Hubby got all the water lines dug and automated in time for us to travel next week. It’s hilarious to watch Brodie bark at the deer. Some run away but others just stare at him. Our record so far between our two adjacent properties is 17 deer at once! Mostly in my neighbor’s side.

That’s a lot of deer and I’m glad they’re on your neighbor’s side. Brodie is looking cool as the official guard dog – no matter that the deer are behind the fence as he is keeping them at bay! That’s great you know your plants and trees will be well taken care of while you’re gone. Was this an intended project for 2025? I seem to remember you saying Hans was digging outside while you were responding to comments awhile back. So this sprinkler system will be automatic or something fancy you will set from your phone?

All hoses are set up on analog timers. Not the Bluetooth kind, though. We’ve been testing each timer all week and making tweeks as needed. I’m thankful this got done.

Okay, well that’s great as it will save your flowers and trees and it’s in place, so will make your life easier all Summer. Kudos to Hans!

Thank you, Donna! I’m very pleased with my tulips, my first time planting them. I should have planted more!
BTW, a friend of mine just completed the Spain camino. She used to blog and her name is Donna, too. I’ve been following her along via Facebook.

Love that brooding sky. Very dramatic. And congratulations on your tulips coming up. They’re beauties.

Thank you, Graham! Isn’t that sky crazy? I just planted the gladiolus bulbs from last year. They overwintered well in their box. Sadly the dahlias tubers didn’t make it. Dahlias are complicated anyway. I also planted a bunch of sunflower seedlings. Hard to kill those 😆
