Terri I am in agreement with many above, the Horseshoe Bend photo is great but I also liked Descent Into Antelope Canyon. A beautiful place to visit and you have captured beautiful photos there.

The picture of the Colarado river is stunning, Terri. I love the colour of the water. And the picture of your feet over the horseshoe bend is wow!

Terri, your shoot-from-above pictures were amazing here and I especially like your feet dangling over Horseshoe Canyon. That’s a great quote by Edward Abbey too.

Beautiful gallery! I loved the Horseshoe Bend photo. I remember when we went there, the place was nearly unknown. There were only two other people in the area. It was around the same time we also visited Antelope Canyon. I loved your photos.

Thank you, Egidio! Page had become a busy place with those attractions. Horseshoe Bend is a state park with a $10 parking fee. Small price to pay for the experience even with small crowds. I like how lower Antelope limits the group sizes for better photo ops.

Arizona knew it could make money out of that area. I heard some reports that the area was being trashed with too many visitors. On a visit we did in that area, we took a boat tour on the Colorado. It was nice to see the horseshoe from the water’s perspective.

I would love to see that perspective!

Awesome photos, Terri! I love Antelope Canyon. We drove to the top of the mountain in Maui on a cloudy day in 1996, the clouds got lower and lower as we drove higher and higher. It was sunny above the cloud. It changed my perspective to remember the sun is always there behind the clouds.

Thank you, John! Those kayaks were a LONG way down there from the top. BTW, thanks for the suggestion to eat at Phil’s in Fountain Hills. The lunch and service were amazing and I got their dark chocolate cake!

You would have loved it, Jo, and I wasn’t as close to the edge as it might look.

We were out there in Feb of 2020, just a week or so before covid because a thing. I loved Antelope Canyon! We also stopped at Horseshoe Bend…your image makes me nervous! 🙂

Good timing, 😉! I was farther from the edge than it looks. Such an interesting area and with Glen canyon dam close by too.

Thank you, Diana! That quote really worked! When I visited Antelope Cyn last year, I was struck by how well hidden it is from the top. I can imagine the people’s surprise when they stumbled upon it centuries ago.

I had the same impression of Antelope Canyon. I wouldn’t never have known it was there until I tripped and fell in! Lol.

Great photos Terri. the canyon shots are beautiful, and I love the kayakers. I could not take that one of horseshoe bend though. I’d pass out.

Wonderful photos Terry. I’m going to make it an aim to visit there! Is it part of the Grand Canyon area or a separate area?

Thank you, Paul! Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Cyn are both in Page, a few minutes’ drive from each other. Close to the Utah border. Lots to see in the area.
