It’s about time I became the official US National Bird!

  3. Made me look for Australias national bird, I assumed was the Emu, as it is on our Coat of Arms but no it is also the unofficial official 🙄

    1. Isn’t this crazy? I like the emu, cool looking bird, Brian! There should be a world-wide official bird ceremony to get this done 😉

      3. Yes, Donna is a great bird photographer and I’m looking forward to seeing her photos. That’s great – something white for Sunday? I got to the Park and it was like a crow fest there today (or if you are old enough, it sounded the old TV show “Hee Haw”).

    1. Thank you, Donna! The eagles at Lake Coeur d’Alene hunt this time of year, great time to catch them. I took this one 2 years ago. The statue was in Sun City, AZ. Cool coincidence 😁🦅

  8. extraordinary we have all been thinking it was your national bird all of this time, and yet it wasn’t official! Still you are further ahead than us as we have only just decided on a national bird!

    1. Funny the things we learn. Our state of Washington’s bird is the Goldfinch. But we have lots of eagles too. Hopefully they stay away from each other! 😆

      1. hee hee – suspect Goldfinches will be too much of a light snack for the Eagles!
