I love that closeup of the bee. We’ve seen – and smelled – some gorgeous lavender plants on this trip. I took a tour on one farm in Sequim and learned the difference between, and the different uses for, English virus French lavender. I imagine the bees don’t care which one they are enjoying.

So beautiful, Terri. I was reading the other comments, I’ve planted dahlias for the first time this year and I’m not looking forward to the amount of work I’ll be doing in a couple of months either 😀

Very pretty lavender, Terri. We used to have lavender in our garden, but it is such a bee magnet and both Michael and I are allergic to bees.

Thanks, Diana! I can’t believe it only took me three years to visit Manito Park in Spokane. It’s not like its far away or anything. Glad we went, there is something new to see within each season.

Definitely. I planted 4 dahlias in spring, which are now starting to bloom. Then I read there is a whole process for winterizing them. 😳
