I love that closeup of the bee. We’ve seen – and smelled – some gorgeous lavender plants on this trip. I took a tour on one farm in Sequim and learned the difference between, and the different uses for, English virus French lavender. I imagine the bees don’t care which one they are enjoying.

Thank you, Janis! It was great seeing you all together in BC. I’d love to visit Sequim, it’s not that far! Lavender is both beautiful and useful!

So beautiful, Terri. I was reading the other comments, I’ve planted dahlias for the first time this year and I’m not looking forward to the amount of work I’ll be doing in a couple of months either 😀

Very pretty Terri. The bee is inhaling deeply, enjoying the scent. I wish you could make this a scratch-n-sniff post! 🙂

Yes – that would be incredible and probably possible some day with AI!

Yes, perhaps the AI Department could work on that down the road. 🙂

Very pretty lavender, Terri. We used to have lavender in our garden, but it is such a bee magnet and both Michael and I are allergic to bees.

Terri, I am so sorry for typing, “Amy” – huge apologies! I have a friend named Amy, so all I can figure is that maybe she was thinking about me when I typed her name! And then I see that I got back on track when I typed, “Terri”. Sorry, Terri!

Thanks, Diana! I can’t believe it only took me three years to visit Manito Park in Spokane. It’s not like its far away or anything. Glad we went, there is something new to see within each season.

I like going to places like that to get garden ideas (even if I never get around to implementing them).

Definitely. I planted 4 dahlias in spring, which are now starting to bloom. Then I read there is a whole process for winterizing them. 😳

Oh dear. That sounds exactly like something that would happen to me. My garden is more the “survival of the fittest” kind. 🙂
