    1. Thank you, Donna. How’s your snow?

      1. None here, we usually don’t see any snow until January. Fingers crossed, I love watching it fall fall fall!

  5. How festive and beautiful, Terri. Snow at this time of the year always helps it feel more joyous. Even though I keep singing, ‘I’m dreaming of a white Christmas,’ I don’t think my dream will come true. It’ll be a green Christmas for us.

    1. Thank you, Hugh! We’ve enjoyed 3 white Christmases so far, and there should be enough snow left for this year’s. I’ve only experienced 2 other white Christmases in my life, one in Portland when I was 9, the other when my dad lived in the Sierra Nevadas. The snow does make Christmas seem a little more magical!

      1. Same here, Terri. The last white Christmas I experienced, when there was laying snow on the ground on Christmas Day, was back in 2010. Before then, it will have been when I was much younger. Some parts of the UK do have a lot of White Christmases, though. I think I’ve witnessed more white Easters, than white Christmases.

      2. I’m glad to hear that, Hugh. It’s magical! We’ve had 2 white Easters in a row. Crazy!!

  7. It’s picturesque and I’m sure you’re glad to be taking a month-long reprieve from it this Winter. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Linda! I actually don’t mind the cold and the snow, it’s the endless days of fog/gray skies I need a break from. But some desert sunshine is very welcomed!!

      1. Yes, that’s true Terri and for us it is the month of December with the fog/gray skies, but we’ve had some amazing weather for December, possibly getting into the 50s tomorrow.

  8. Looks chilly, but very scenic, especially with that barn.

    1. Our snow is already melting fast and weather folks predict a “warm” week ahead. I shared this pic on a local Facebook photography page and someone commented they used to live there! There is a house just out of the image. Small town 😁

    1. Thank you, Donna! It seems to be the theme among commenters–less snow is good snow LOL!

    1. The sun is out today, Diana, and it’s a warm 38 degrees, somehow the sunshine makes it a bit warmer feeling.

  15. My son lives in Maryland, complaining about the lack of snow last year and this. I’ll send him this picture!

    1. Thanks, Jacqui! Im lucky to get this shot, I wasn’t driving and had to maneuver a bit to capture it. Right along our rural highway along Lake Spokane. Surprised to hear about the lack of snow in Maryland!

      1. I was, too. My daughter also lives there. Both say the same thing.

  16. I don’t like snow even though I was raised with it. I have since moved to a warmer climate where I don’t have to deal with it. Having said that, I love to look at pictures of it. (go figure!)

    1. I totally get the need to see it once in a while, Darlene. I like the cold and snow. Spokane has just enough on the average to keep it pretty.

  17. That’s pretty. I’ve always thought winter was more beautiful out in the country, especially around barns!

    1. Thanks, Dawn! This may be my first image of a barn in the snow. 😁 This is on Lake Spokane along our rural highway.
