    1. Thank you, Diana! These are truly the last views of autumn for this year, as the rain and wind has dropped most of them. But I still have a lot of pics to share:)

  4. What a great bird’s eye view, Terri. That is a stunning photograph that captures the true story of autumn so well. No wonder I’m such a huge fan of autumn when she gives displays like that.

    1. Thanks, Hugh. I drive this short cut often, and coming down the hill, this sight greeted me 2 weeks ago. I had to drive up, park, and walk to get that view. Unforgettable 🍁🍂

    1. So glad to help, Janet! Now I’m singing “all the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray…”

  7. My favorite month has just exited and I’m not happy about it Terri. We had a record-setting snowfall that began last night … mind you, we only had 0.2 inches of snow, mostly on the grass, but it was a first for the tri-county area. Muskegon, Michigan, which is 200 miles from where I live, got eight inches of snow, whiteout conditions and tons of accidents. We did not have to ramp up the cold THAT quickly! Your view of the gorgeous leaves from all perspectives was unique – no matter the angle, or the viewer, all the leaves and trees you photographed were beautiful.

    1. October has always been my favorite month too, Linda! It sure went quickly with all 4 seasons represented in Eastern Washington, at least. Sorry about all your cold weather. I enjoyed finding those images, it was a wonderful month for colors!

      1. October always seems fleeting to me … you had wonderful images for our favorite month. It’s all downhill from now on unfortunately.

    1. Aww, thank you, Frank! I went to a bit of trouble to get that particular shot! I shared it on a local Facebook group and so many said they could see their homes in the picture!

  10. I’m a bit envious of all your fall colors! The bird’s eye view is lovely. It looks like the trees in the school yard view have synchronized their color changes rather well.

    1. Thank you, Janis, I have to search a little for
Autumn colors as we are mostly surrounded by boring green pine trees (LOL). The show is a few weeks earlier than what I was used to in Sacramento. Those maple trees along the road are so fun to drive by. Many of the school is this district have maples planted on their sidewalks and fields. Pretty cool!

    1. Thank you, Anne. We’re surrounded by Ponderosa pines here so I walk the Centennial Trail for these views. Around November, between Veterans day and Thanksgiving is when Sacramento finally puts on its fall show.

  20. Beautiful autumn colors, Terri. We a wet snowy Halloween. By the time the trick or treaters were gone. The snow stopped. It was cold last night but a brilliant full moon shone bright in the sky.

    1. Thank you, Colleen! Snow on Halloween! We’re too rural for trick or treating. I’m glad you could see Halloweens full moon. That doesn’t happen often!
