For Wordless Wednesday, let your images tell the story.

I missed this with being away, Terri. Those reflections are superb, I especially love the bird!

You make me laugh. You’re Wordless Wednesdays are never wordless. 🙂 But the pictures are stunning as always. I especially loved the first one, shadowed view from the sky. ❤

Thank you, Donna. We had a couple of very calm days, otherwise the wind ripples the lake too much.

Thank you, Nancy. The lake where the clouds are reflected is nearby. I snapped that pic from the Centennial Trail.

Very pretty photos Terri. I like how the clouds reflect on the still water. I am smiling seeing the Black-necked Stilt gazing at its reflection and saying “wow – how cool is this … if I move my leg this way, my reflection does that too!”

Thank you, Linda! I’m taking a blog break after this coming Sunday. I wanted to add some new pics. The stilt was a very cooperative at the Gilbert Riparian Preserve by posing for me 😉

You will have a little escape and enjoy Summer before it slips away Teri. Your Winter began in November last year. When we discussed national parks in comments after one of your recent posts, I said I’d only been to one national park. With all the stats about the scorching heat in Death Valley, I learned it was a national park. So I’ve visited two national parks. My father was driving and I was very young. He had his left arm resting on the window well – I guess we didn’t have A/C in the car? He got a massive blister near his elbow from sun poisoning and had to go to the E.R. I have not thought of that story in almost fifty years. I will wish you safe travels after your Sunday post.

Crazy story! Sun is dangerous anywhere. I live in sunscreen all year round!

Yes it was – you have to wear sun protection or you’ll get burned from the sun reflecting off the snow!

Love the first shot and the bird quote. Not a fan of those windmills but I love stilts.

Thanks, Janet. When those wind turbines were installed over 10 years ago, windsurfers were convinced they stole the wind, making it harder to sail.

Hi Dawn, thanks! The featured pic was taken at Lake Natoma is Sacramento a few years ago at the Aquatics Center, on of my favorite places to paddle! I caught the stilt in Gilbert, Arizona’s riparian preserve. I need to get out to more the “local” preserves for some new pics!

Thanks, Jacqui! Heat’s ramping back to upper 90s this week–a virtual cool-down was necessary 😉
