    1. Thanks Becky! I’d rather SUP than ride roller coasters 😁

  3. I don’t know how I missed this post yesterday Terri. Alot of Summer fun, rolled into one post – brave for you again with the windsurfing, not to mention the rollercoaster. I’ve not been on a rollercoaster since Senior Skip Day in June 1973. It was my first ride and I only went on because the five close friends whom I hung around with in senior year double-dared me to go on. That was at Cedar Point and I’m sure that roller coaster is tame compared to some of the ones they have nowadays. I’ve taken a few virtual rollercoaster rides … just wow!

    1. Thank you, Linda! The windsurfing was easy with the light wind and the big board. I was NOT on the rollercoaster, but my brother and daughters were. Now rollercoasters go upside down and roll through dark caves, etc.

      1. It looks like fun … if you are a swimmer and brave! Some of those rollercoasters going straight up then they jut out, then go upside down … dark caves too? I’ll be a chicken and pass. )

  4. I remember those days when I would go on a rollercoaster, but not anymore. Beautiful photos, and I love the quote.

  8. I would have known this was your post without the title or link. 😉. The stolen wind theory is interesting.

  9. Fun reds there Terri. The bottom photo is my kind of windsurfing weather, not too much breeze, but those wind turbines behind are there for a reason!

    1. Thanks, Graham, it was fun to look back at some old images. Light winds and a big windsurfboard are a good mix for beginning sailors. The wind turbines began appearing more frequently in 2010. Some windsurfers believe they are robbing the wind from the area.

      1. I suppose they could have an effect on the flow of the wind, though not on how much wind there is!
