Layers of drops on layers of leaves

As the autumnal equinox makes its mark today on the Northern Hemisphere, (Fall is here), I’m sharing these photos of layers of leaves.

Layers of Yellow Leaves

Fall is my favorite time of year, and this week the unseasonably cool weather brought a hint of Autumn to Northern California. I am so ready.

Layers of Fallen Autumn Leaves

I got some good news this week about my job as a university lecturer, and peace, along with the Fall-like weather, just seemed to descend upon me after a few weeks of dealing with uncertainty.

Today, as this blog posts, I am spending the morning with 80 university students playing various games and engaging in some fun water sports and activities at the Aquatic Center, enjoying the layers of leisure.

These images are from last year’s play day. And yes, I get paid for this!

  1. I love the autumn leaves with the raindrops on them. Thanks for sharing! I have a poetry blog here on WordPress and this week’s poems are all about autumn in case you have time to look? Have a good day, Sam 🙂

  2. Love the autumn season. We have had very unseasonably hot weather in my part of Canada for a good 10 days. It has cooled off, and the temps are now much more seasonable.

Love the vivid lead pictures! 🙂

  3. Gorgeous photos Terri. And so weird you guys are having autumn with leaves turning and cool. We had barely no summer on the east coast, rain 5 days a week and began wearing jackets in early August. Fast-forward to last week, it’s been 90 degrees, sunshine every day and sweating to death with the building already turned off the aircon! Schizophrenic weather or what! 🙂 x

  4. Fall is my favorite time of year too. Still warm, yet that snap in the air and the smell of woodsmoke is somehow comforting. Can’t believe the Sierras got snow on the last day of summer.
Glad for your good new and “peace”

  5. Sometimes it can be hard to see fall here in SoCal but, every once in awhile, I’ll discover a tree bursting with color. I’m not complaining (I prefer warmth), but a whole forest a blaze with fall leaves is glorious. I’m glad you received some good news!

  6. Beautiful photos, Terri. I’m a bit sad that summer is over. The leaves of the Aspen trees are changing rapidly here in the mountains of Colorado. Pretty, but a tad chilly! Glad to read about your good news. Hope to receive some one of these months as well. 🙂

  7. Fall isn’t something we experience in South Florida, so we will be road-trippin’ into Georgia around the middle of October in hopes of finding some color. The first photo is my favorite. Love the water droplets.
