Sunflowers Reflected in the Edge of the Mirror

photo challenge sunflowers at edge of the mirror

I loved “styling” this double WordPress weekly photo challenge! As I enjoy the end of summer here in Northern California, I am attracted to the beauty of sunflowers and how they seem to gently wave farewell to summer while ushering in the Fall season.

Don’t get me wrong, where I live, we are still experiencing 90 degree days. With the sun rising later and setting sooner, the nights stay in the cool upper 50s.

After a long, hot summer, I am always ready for fall. I hope you enjoy my study of sunflowers reflected in the Edge of the Mirror.

  1. Beautiful! This photo just epitomizes fall. I wish I could pop these out of the picture and put them on my mantel. As much as I love flowers, I did not get the flower arranging gene. I usually just stick them in a bottle!

  2. Sunflowers — some of my favorites. And we are still having 90 degree temps here as well. When is fall coming ??

  3. Beautiful photo, Terri! I love sunflowers too! Our nights here in southern Ontario are cooling down, making it comfortable to sleep but our days are still hot with the sun. Enjoy it! 🙂
