Triple the Fun in Nature

Trio

Fun and nature come in many sets of numbers. The weekly photo challenge asks photographers to look for things that come in threes. Here are, of course, three photos that capture this theme.

This first one was taken in Lake Tahoe near the Tahoe Keys area where homeowners are LUCKY to have docks in their own backyards. The watercraft here, three boats, alongside a kayak and paddle boat, languish in the autumn sun, perhaps dreaming of summer. The trio of ducks was a happy accident.

The next one, well, I would be remiss if I did not include a photo of me and my friends as we began our windsurfing journey a few years ago. I just love this photo because it captures the spirit of leisure and trying something new and difficult. Yes, that is me in the middle. I might have been blowing on my own sail, the wind was that light.

Of course, no California blogger would miss an opportunity to show off more autumn leaves. My self-styled leaf shot from a couple of weeks ago.

Good things come in threes. What can you think of that comes in a trio?

  1. A nice jazz group, a triple play performed by the San Francisco Giants, and winning a trifecta at a horse race. Love all the photos, Terri. They showcase where we are lucky enough to live, beautifully. “I might have been blowing on my sail” ha, ha, ha! :O)

  2. Terri! I love your trio pics, especially the one of you in the middle on your windsurf:) Hmm, trio reminds me of ketchup, mayo and mustard! First thing that came to mind since I was craving a burger all day! Lol!
    Hope you’re having a fabulous Saturday !!
