Gridlines Frame Life’s Perspectives

Grid

Grid-lines frame unique perspectives from our lives:

A view from an apartment window overlooking the swimming pool.

Looking up into the newly framed bedroom addition excited about the promise of a new living space.

A look at the pavilion of the 1974 Spokane Word’s Fair shows the pride of a newly showcased structure.

A nostalgic view from a former office.

These are the grid-lines of our lives.

  1. Interesting shots through these grids. Sometimes I tend to avoid windows since it seems like it might interfere with a photo, but actually it can be quite effective to illustrate context and environment. As you mention, it can be used to frame your perspective.

  2. I enjoyed the accompanying photos with your perspective. We observe the world through so many grids and have become used to observing life that way. We shouldn’t take that for granted. Thanks for this creative reminder. Enjoyed it!
