Walking back to our car from dinner tonight, we saw an envelope on the ground, near a hedge.
“Huh, look at this.” I said to my husband.
“It looks like a letter; here, let me see.” he replied. The letter is addressed to the California Franchise Tax Board, but there is no return address and no stamp.”
I said, “Well, let’s open it, maybe someone is getting some money back.”
As we opened the letter, the person was to receive a state refund of $5,435.00.
The tax form was dated April 9, 2009.
Today is April 9, 2015.
Bummer.
Writing 101: Day Five: Be Brief
Today’s Prompt: You stumble upon a random letter on the path. You read it. It affects you deeply, and you wish it could be returned to the person to which it’s addressed. Write a story about this encounter.
Today’s twist: Approach this post in as few words as possible.
This is a great story!!! I hope that person eventually got their money back:)

You are very creative Terri! You will find that out even more as you work the assignments of this class. (I took this class last year and enjoyed it so much I wanted to take it again).
