Black and White Photo Challenge: Textures

For Cee’s Black and White photo challenge, I chose the following photos for their textures. I am still new to black and white photography, so this is a great challenge.

This first one is a close-up of one of my pine trees in my backyard. The shape reminded me of a dragon’s eye. Do you see it?

This next photo is a close-up of the base of the same tree as it sits near the gravel.
