Two years ago this week was my second windsurfing trip to La Ventana in Baja Sur, Mexico. My husband caught this shot of me walking my gear into the water. Feeling nostalgic as I wish for another trip.
La Ventana is south of La Paz, Mexico and boasts amazing wind from November to about March. During my first visit there I was stunned at how many windsurfers I knew from the Sacramento Delta. People from all over the world flock here for the winter months to get their windsurf and kite board fixes. Not only is there a large campground filled with trailers, vans and tents, there are also many resorts that cater to wind sport junkies. I learned to stand-up paddle here, too.
