Since we are getting major precipitation here in Northern California, I was hoping to capture a picture depicting rain, without actually getting soaked. I want to share this photo I took in 2010.
A friend lives in the mountains in Quincy, California. This was an October day and it was raining off and on as we took a hike in the woods near her home. I captured this on my old digital Canon camera and have been complimented on its composition. It turned out to be a stunning shot. I did no other editing other than to paste my signature using picmonkey.
Really lovely photo , thanks for sharing . Kathy.

Nice photo. Looks like a great place for a hike. I liked how you captured the water flowing over the rock and the turbulence. Also the rocks have very clear definition, and of course the yellow leaves offer good color.

Wow this is a perfect shot! I love the contrast between the yellows and greens and how you can almost hear the rushing of the water:)

I love the yellow contrasting with the green and how it (the yellow) follows the line of the water.

thank you! Me and my happy (sort of) accidents. I say sort of because I actually have a decent eye for composition 🙂

Lovely photo: the yellow leaves and waterfall are gorgeous together! On another note, I was interested to hear how you added your signature. I haven’t done that yet and wondered how people achieved it.

Thank you Sandi! I use pic monkey online. It’s very easy to add text. What I do is keep a word doc handy with my text, year and the copyright symbol, then just cut and paste into pic monkey. Try it if you haven’t yet 🙂
