Perspectives On…Milestones

This has certainly been the week of milestones for me. First I hit 200 follows, then 1000 likes. I was a guest blogger on two blogs AND I had a birthday! I really don’t keep track of how many posts I have made. But today I hit 100 posts! I sure am glad WordPress keeps track of these stats.

Did I mention that blogging is “serious leisure?” I am constantly impressed that so many of my fellow bloggers have the ability toย whip out great blogs at a moment’s notice. I think I follow over 250 blogs (and I REALLY try to read most) and am astounded by the frequency with which so many bloggers post!

Have you reached a milestone this week? What did achieving that goal mean to you? Take a moment and celebrate in some way!

  1. Congratulations of your blog achievements. It’s positive reinforcement that we’re doing something right if others like our posts and want to follow our blogs. It’s fun too and you meet so many wonderful people. Speaking of milestones … I just passed 2,000 views (since September 17th!

  2. That’s great on your posts, follows and likes! ๐Ÿ™‚ This blogging community is a fun part to be a part of, and the milestones make it feel even more exciting. I hit a milestone today: 500 likes. I’ve been blogging just since mid July; so, it’s neat to see it growing. It’s a good feeling…Hey, btw, how did you add “snow” to your blog, and could I be a little imposing to be a “copycat?” That is just awesome!! I love this time of year, and I absolutely love snow! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Oh, you’re the one with your virtual rain that caused all the mudslides??? Just kidding.

I like the idea of “serious leisure.” I’ve never been much of a television watcher – I lived outside the country too often to get too hooked, but I’ve always – and still – read. Blogging gives me such a wonderful view of the world according to other people. And it’s jogged my own writing.

For example, the quote you have on your sidebar “Only dead fish go with the flow,” was entirely too wonderful so I had to look up that blogger and see what she was going. What a great line! And she takes great photos. So it’s a place to leisurely rest my mind.

Kudos on all your milestones this week. You have quite a year ahead of you now with all sorts of discoveries. J.

  7. I just reached 500 follows and 200 posts. Congratulations on your success! I am sure you will reach these numbers much faster than I did! ๐Ÿ˜€ So.. you have had your 55th birthday and you are retired? I retired at 55 too. Mainly because I could at the age from the company I had been with for 21+ years. But, I also have 4 rods in my back and it has become full of painful arthritus. I got to the point I could no longer work.
