The weekend provided an opportunity to photograph using a color and experimenting with focus and the type of gallery post. Here is a study of my Chinese Maple tree and its beautiful, almost fluorescent autumn leaves.

Funny you should mention this, Janet, I’m anxiously awaiting for this guy to change colors. Getting close 🙂

Amazing photos! Such vibrant colors. Autumn leaves are nature’s rainbow!

The close up with and without flash is educational. I always preferred without, if I could hold the camera still long enough.

Beautiful, Terri! My favorite is also the lower left photo, but the close-ups call attention to the shape of the leaves.

There is one tree at the center where my son does chess that I’ve been photographing from time to time this fall. It would be fun to put those pictures together in a gallery, just to see the changes.

You should, and it may be a future photo 101 assignment 🙂 The rest of my trees are redwoods so they don’t change much!

I’m thinking we’ll get portraits at some point? It has been a good class: less stressful in some ways than Blogging 101 was, although maybe more time-consuming.

Love the contrast of red leaves against the green leaves! Beautiful.
