For this photography 101 assignment, we were to use light to invoke warmth into the shot.
What better place to find warmth than in the lovely kitchen of my sister-in-law. This was taken a day before Thanksgiving in Eastern Washington state. Here the winter sun is struggling to shine in through the window and manages to throw some light onto the counter. The recessed ceiling lights throw their own magical light all over the kitchen, creating mini-auras that dance off the floor, the oven and the warm wooden cabinets, that show warmth despite the artificial light.
I love the warm lighting that you captured in this beautiful room.

The wood cabinets and floor add to the warmth and look great in the photo. I think the oven stands out, which is also appropriate for the theme.

Good one, Doug, on the oven! That is my dream kitchen someday–at least I get to visit occasionally 🙂

Such a beautiful way to capture warmth! I can smell the freshly-baked cookies from the oven!

Is there a better and warmer place to be than in the kitchen?
Loved your take on todays’ theme.
Sometimes I think we could live in our kitchen as when home we spent most of our time there.
Have a good day!
