Perspectives On…Water, Water, Everywhere!

The photography 101 assignment is to interpret the theme of water. I am surrounded by water in my life. I grew up near the beaches of San Diego, and most of my leisure spaces involve water. I was a swimmer in high school then became a lifeguard and a swim instructor to put myself through college.  I have been the aquatics supervisor for the last 14 years in my job overseeing 18 public swimming pools. I spend most of my leisure time in and around water, enjoying stand-up paddling and windsurfing. This is a collection of photos I have taken over the past few years.

    1. I bet they all were. The water was 54 degrees and the air temp was 48 degrees that day. It’s our California version of the January 1st traditional Polar Bear plunge. And thanks for the comment, that was a particularly lucky shot 🙂
